Week 2/4: Ways to Accept/Self Love 

I am so beyond sorry I am a day late, I had an awful day yesterday and some family stuff going on, but here is week 2. I hope y’all enjoy ❤️

My mom always told me when I was younger; “It’s not what’s on the outside, it’s what on the inside” That never truly clicked with me until I got old enough to understand the whole saying. My body is not what makes me beautiful, being truly kind and showing that I love who I am makes me beautiful. My confidence in myself makes me beautiful.

I know it’s hard to love yourself, all of you, every single flaw… granted I still to this day don’t fully 100% love myself. Nobody does and I believe that nobody will, it’s just human nature, but there are ways to love and accept yourself.

10 Ways to Love You and Accept You:

1. Tell yourself you’re beautiful.

You are so so loved and all of those flaws are what make you… you. Believe that they were placed there for a reason.

2. Point out what you love, rather than what you hate.

Stand in the mirror every morning and and tell yourself what you love. “You have an amazing smile” “My skin is so pretty today” “I look beautiful today”

3. Smile.

Just smile. You will feel a difference.

4. Find your uniqueness

What about you makes you different and special? Is it your hair, smile, personality. Find what makes you, you and LOVE IT.

5. Pray.

Ephesians 2:19-22 says “Whenever you feel unloved or unimportant… insecure or not pretty.. remember to whom you belong to.”

Ask God for some confidence, tell Him how you feel and He will fulfill you.


Whatever you do, do not compare yourself to another. There will always be someone prettier or more fit, smarter or more athletic than you. AND THAT IS OKAY.

7.  Show yourself off

You deserve to be showen off, take those selfies and love you.

8. Go out!!

Go have fun with friends, whether it’s just a run to the store, dress up and feel pretty and go out! Have fun, and always smile.


Being active helps you. Clearing your skin and sweating out all those toxins will make your skin clear and beautiful. Also you will be in shape.

10. Look at the sunset, and realize it is beautiful. Now look at yourself.. you’re beautiful too.

Psalm 62:5 says “my soul finds rest in God alone because my confidence comes from him.” 

You are one of a kind and so so loved.

Arm Workout 1

If you read my About Me section you would know that I absolutely love to go to the gym and if you follow me on social media you would see that I live in the gym lol (;

I had some request about my workouts so I decided to write about my other passion, fitness and health. Most people don’t understand and some even give me hate about how I can write my blogs about self love, but then talk about fitness. They continuously ask me “Do you not love the way you look?” or “Why are you trying to change your body?” I don’t hate my body, I am simply taking care of it. Fitness or even exercise is an important part of your health, everyone should be active for at least 30 minutes in their day. No, I am not a professional trainer or even a health expert, but I do know that your body is your temple and God intended you to care for it.

I’ve been asked how I motivate myself to go to the gym everyday and the answer is easy…. I don’t. Working out for me is something that I look forward to everyday. If you need help gaining motivation to go to the gym, be on the look out for next blog post about … hint hint … Gym Motivation.

Now, onto my arm workout. Yesterday was arm day for me and I did a simple tri-set. This workout is a burner, my arms were on fire the whole time and today while writing this post.. wow are they sore. The key to this workout is moving fast with little time between workouts and going nice and slow while hitting the workout to really work that muscle.

I usually take about a minute rest between each tri-set to really make sure I am having enough strength to complete them correctly.

Triceps/Chest Tri-set:

  1. Tricep-ups: basically place your fore arm on the bench in a push up position, you may do this on the ground if you are a beginner, and simply do an up down by moving to your hands then back down to your fore arm. Repeat 10-15 times
  2. 20 seated svend press
  3. 10 laying weight presses and 15 rotating dumbbell presses: use the amount of weight that is perfect for you.

Repeat these three workouts 3 times and then there you have it, you completed the Tri-set.

A tip from me to you would be to stretch very good before and after you complete this workout to help with the soreness that will follow. Also DO NOT be afraid of working out your chest, no your boobs will not shrink, they will actually grow as you build up muscle.

Week 1/4: Acceptance 

Do you accept you? Do you understand who you are and what you can accomplish in life? I guess the most important question would be, do people truly accept themselves or do they accept the person society made them? Society and the people around you have a way of changing you. Magazines, Social Media, Tv, they all make you look at yourself different, so ask yourself the question, Do you accept you or the society you? 

The world today is all technology, we are constantly on our phones. We watch shows like “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and see their perfect, society must have bodies. Then look at ourselves and wonder why we don’t look like that. Am I accepted with the body I have or am I being looked down on? 

Music is what keeps me moving, I constantly listen to music. Although my favorite is country music, I tend to listen to some other genres too. Slim thick, flat stomach, must be thick but can’t be fat. Those are just a few of the several sayings about women in songs. I’m not bashing any music, I listen to it, but are young girls hearing it and wondering if that’s what they MUST look like to get the boys, or to be liked? 

That’s what society seems to have taught us, if you’re not a girl with a media body, perfect flawless skin and can look good with makeup and even better without it then you don’t meet the standards of media…

 You are beautiful.

For the longest time I truly thought I wasn’t pretty enough or that I didn’t have a good enough body. I was always told “you don’t have a butt” or “you don’t have boobs, why wear a bra??”  I didn’t understand that I didn’t need either of those things, I was young, it always hurt me, it made my self esteem drop low. I felt ugly. 

I’ve grown and I’ve matured, the same people who once laughed at me for not having a butt/boobs can no longer laugh at me. They are now jealous because I accept myself for what I look like, I am beautiful because I am fearfully and wonderful made. 

Love yourself for who you are and what you look like. You do not need to match society and be someone you’re not. You don’t need to wear makeup and watch what you eat to be pretty. If you wanna wear makeup, wear it, you look amazing.. and if you don’t, then don’t.. YOU LOOK AMAZING.  Accept you, for you. That goes for anything you love to do. Do what makes you happy and what makes you feel beautiful, nobody’s opinion matters.

Being Confident in God

I’ve always, since I was little, thought that the key in life was to be the best. I thought I needed the best clothes, needed to play every sport I could and have the best grades. I thought I needed to be better than who was next to me. When I began to understand the thought of God making me, one of a kind, I knew I had it all wrong. 

I wasn’t confident the way I needed to be. I was confident in my looks and what I was doing and that wasn’t gonna take me anywhere. That kind of confidence has an ending. Somewhere in life you’ll meet someone better and there it goes, you have low self esteem. The confidence that God will give you last a life time. 

Isaiah 32:17 says “The fruit of righteousness will be peace, the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever” 

I’ve met people who have confidence. I’ve also met people who have confidence. One loved themselves, they flaunted what they had whether it be materials or body image. Don’t get me wrong, I was jealous of what they had and their looks, I wanted what they had, but when I met the people who had confidence in God, my view point changed… I wanted what they had. Confidence in God. 

Ephesians 2:19-22 says “Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant or insecure remember to whom you belong.” 

God made me, he made me look the way I look. I am one of a kind. I know that where ever I go in life, God has a plan. I have confidence that God will lead me and he will take care of me. I have no reason to worry, no reason to compare myself to anothers or be jealous of what he/she has.

Psalm 112:7 says “she confidently trust the Lord will care for her” 

Now that I’ve talked about confidence, I wanna talk about being conceited. YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU. God made them also, he made them look the way they look and everything within them. If someone compliments you… say thank you.. that’s all. You do not need to be snotty and say “oh I know” or “well duh it’s me” no. do not do that. God does not want you to be like that, he wants you to be secure with yourself and confident through him.
The kind of people who are conceited,get me, I can stand it. Sure, there are people who are pretty than me, have better things than me but that does not make them better than me and I am not better than anyone else. We are equal. 

Colossians 3:1-4 says “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory”

Remember. God does want you to be confident in yourself also, but he also wants you to be confident in him. 

Ways to be confident in yourself:

1. Tell yourself you are one of a kind 

Nobody looks like you, talks like you, walks like you, nobody is you. You are yourself and that is so amazing. You are God’s masterpiece.  Always remember that. 

2. Focus on what you love

Why waste time talking about your flaws? Do you really have flaws? Sure you might have acne or scars, stretch marks and cellulite but you’re beautiful/or handsome. God made you, he made that. He places each and every detail on you with a purpose. Don’t worry that you have a small butt or boobs. YOU ARE A MASTER PIECE. 

3. Smile. 

Smile. Smile. Smile. Smile. you are alive and breathing. God loves you so much, everything about you and he has a plan. Be confident in him and ask for confidence in yourself.

Ways to Stress Less

John 14:27 says “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Life gets the best of all of us. Whether that be school, work or just daily life. We get stressed and get anxiety about the smallest things and that’s okay. It’s something we can not stop from happening, but we sure can try to make it happen less. The definition when I typed  ‘stress’ in the google search bar was: Exerted pressure on a subject or material. It’s a mental factor, something our minds create when we think of such things. It could be that physics test you know you didn’t study for, all the way to that perfect outfit for the first date. It is called life.

First things first… STOP AND REMEMBER TO RELAX. Take a deep breath and understand that it is not the end of the world and that God has a plan for you.

Luke 21:19 says “Stand firm and you will win life.”

Things happen and they are definitely NOT gonna go the way you want them to each time. It just will never happen, I have no way to tell you except blunt like that. Life goes on, and I will tell you, I am a stressor. I stress about everything I do, even my whole preplanned gym workouts that I’ve had planned for weeks. I stress. I began to try to find ways to stop stressing when I realized what it was doing to not only the people around me but to my inner self. I had breakouts and mood swings, I could never get enough sleep and I was constantly feeling like I was having bad days. Over and over I tried, but I never could succeed until I started using these simple things.

I’ll say them short and sweet because who am I kidding, not every blog post I write is gonna be 500+ words long.

  1. If your life is a mess, your head is a mess.

Organization might not seem important, but boy it is. You don’t have to be the best organizer but if you would set yourself a goal and organize your life the way you can it will help you for the better. Stop stressing about missing an exam or the deadline at work and just right it down. Get a planner or a notebook and keep track of your life.

2. Are you just over thinking?

Over thinking is a killer, I do it all the time. I know this sounds weird but really stop and think about what you are over thinking. Is it that important to get the stress knots in your back and lose those hours of sleep each night over the shirt you didn’t get at the store, or the 60 you made on the test? It’s not, life goes on with or without you so don’t waste your time.

3. Find your hobby

I go to the gym everyday. It is my way of getting rid of stress. I push myself and just lift or run and clear my mind. You don’t have to go to the gym or run to relieve stress, some people cook, read, sleep, write or even just listen to music. Find something that you enjoy doing and go do it.

There are so many ways you can relieve your stress than just the 3 I have listed. Go for a bike ride, rant to a friend over dinner, call your mom… save the drama for your mama…. that saying was made for a reason. (; Don’t waste your life stressing over things. Think about it, do something about it and move on. Those breakouts and sleepless nights aren’t worth it.

Joshua 1:9-10 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 

Are you comfortable with your life..? Ask yourself the question. Life should almost feel like that perfect mattress or when you crawl into bed after a long day, finding that perfect spot. 

I’ve been through some bad bad times, and I’ve had some very bad days. I’ve been to the point that I thought life had won and stress, anxiety and depression had won me over. I felt just like the commercials for depression with the chains and weights bringing me down… I thought there was absolutely no way to get out of it but I WAS WRONG. I learned that I needed to let go and let God. I gave him complete control of my life and I have never felt happier since. 

Mark 4:35-41 is an amazing thing to read. I learned that God uses the same power he used to help the disciples and calm the sea for them when it got rough to help calm my life. Sometimes life will hit you like a bus, everything you wanted NOT to happen… usually happens and it’s the worst. Life is not fair. Remember that. God listens, and when you start to ask God for help and just talk to him, he will help and heal. 

Romans 5:3-4 says “rejoice in our sufferings”

When I first read this, I was so confused. Why would I want to be happy and thankful for the bad things that have happened to me? When I really looked into the verse and my life I saw that each bad thing that happened brought me closer and closer to God. He used those problems and challenges to better our relationship. I’ve been through things nobody should have to go through and I have so much comfort knowing God has a plan, and he uses it to bring me to him.

Psalm 27:1-5 says “the Lord is my light and my salvation. He is the stronghold of my life.” 

Even though we have bad days, God wants us to focus on the GOOD and what truly matters and that’s him. Getting on the right track with God and fully understanding that he listens helps. Talk to God, tell him about your feelings and challenges and ask for help. He will help you face each and everyday UNAFRAID 

Zephaniah 2:6-7 says “the Lord will core for you, he will restore your fortunes”

Stress. Depression. Anxiety. They are all real things and they impact people everyday. I’ve been through all three, sleepless nights, crying in the shower, never feeling like I’m good enough or like I can do anything right. It’s difficult to get through and the only thing that will truly get you through it is God. The verse above tells us that God restores, he will give you rest when you need and and he will heal your mind, body and soul. 

Growing up I learned that life isn’t fair and people don’t have the same heart as I do. People have broken their promises thousands of times and my parents have ruined my plans plenty of times as well (; (i know they both just read that… srry mom and dad ily) I’ve lost friends when the times got bad and I’ve had some bad relationships whether that was friends, boyfriends, or my peers. The world seems to make you feel like you are never enough and even though you follow the “rules” of society you aren’t enough. That’s when we need to see what matters again. 

Joshua 23:14 says “now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not on of the good promises the Lord your God gave you had failed.” 

When God promises something, it never fails. That’s amazing to thing about and to understand that he thinks and he listens and he never fails us. 

Ask yourself the question again,

Are you comfy in life yet? 

He’ll Be the Judge 

I don’t even know how to begin this, and it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I had to get a few thing off my mind, but I was thinking and going over stuff and the thing that kept coming back was 

Matthew 7:1 “Do not judge, or you shall be judged” 

Sure, I understand that everyone has judged something, including myself, whether that was an opinion or a person. I am not perfect and I never will be, nobody is. You have to see that it’s okay to not be perfect. You will make choices, and say things that are wrong, but God loves and he forgives. YOU ARE HIS CHILD.

For me I grew up hearing “sticks and stone may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” and I can not say how big of a LIE that saying is. WORDS DO HURT, THE IMPACT LIVES. Gossip/Rumors would be the biggest problem that involves words.

All throughout your life, you will be judged. You will go through gossip and you might even learn things about you that you didn’t know about yourself 😜 aka: rumors!!!!!!!! Don’t believe everything you hear, always ask the person it’s about if you really wanna know. 

Gossip is awful. Words and things that are said about people hurt. I’ve been through that, but when I learned that the only reason that was happening was because of jealousy or hate I decided that I was so over letting people hurt me. I didn’t care what they thought, I only care what God thinks. He is the only judge in my life. 

Yes, I have gossiped before. I have talked about people and said some hurtful things. I never saw or felt how bad those words could hurt until I was the one being talked about. 

Matthew 5:44 says “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”

I was body shamed, had rumors spread about me, friends that I thought I could trust.. talked about me. The words and ideas that were said hurt. They changed me. I hated my body, I hated the things that were said. I knew they weren’t true, but the more I heard it the more I began to let it impact me. When I let go and understood that they were trying to hurt me, was when I stopped letting it hurt me.. they would not win. 

I began to realize that I had said hurtful words too, and I decided to make a change. Now if I catch myself gossiping, I stop. You never know what someone is going through, or how much more they can take. Just be nice. 

Romans 2:1 says “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone for at whatever point you judge another, are condemning yourself because you who pass judgment are doing the same” 

WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE. What right do you have to judge one another?? Worry about yourself and your life, not someone else because in my opinion if you have people talking about you then you must be doing something right for them to waste their time thinking about you. 🤷🏼‍♀️

A few tips:

  • Worry about your character, not your reputation. Your character says who you are as a person, it’s you, while your reputation is what people think you are. 
  • Turn the other cheek. Just ignore them, they want to hurt you and get under your skin. When people see that you’re not bothered, they will not get the satisfaction they want. 
  • RETALIATION IS NOT THE KEY. 🚫❌ You’re giving them the go that what they said or the rumor they started got to you. You’re showing them weakness. 
  • Last, Kill them with KINDNESS. This totally might be the hardest thing i’ve done, but it’s so efficient. They want you to be hurt and be mean back, so instead just ignore or say “oh thanks, by the way your outfit looks cute today” and watch their reaction to that one. 

My biggest reminder I want you to remember is that; the only judge that truly matters is God. He should be the opinion you are worried about. Live your life completely for him, and I promise you will see a change❤️ He’s a good good father.
